Will the map also stick to a non-perfectly smooth and even wall (e.g. textured plaster or wallpaper)?
Yes, it adheres. However, it depends on the type and thickness of the wall's surface layer. The smoother, the better.
How long does it actually take to mount the card?
Assembly takes a few hours. It's a fun project to do in a group if you want.
Any tips for assembly?
Only open the set with the map after 2-3 hours, once you have brought it home, so that it can adapt to the temperature in your home. After opening the set, follow the enclosed assembly instructions and watch the video tutorials. Please note that to separate the islands, you should carefully press down on each piece from top to bottom until it detaches, to avoid chipping.
